July 05 News.
Scottish Water finally see sense.

After nearly 2 years of campaigning by COAST  Scottish Water finally threw in the towel & will put the sewage outfall into the Clyde north of Hamilton Rock.

This campaign has taken hours of coast members’ time with letter writing, diving, telephoning, e-mailing & going to meetings. We also must thank SNH ,Millport Marine Station, The Marine Lab in Aberdeen & finally our MSP Allan Wilson for help during the last 18 months forcing Scottish Water to do the right thing.

JULY - THE HEIGHT OF THE SEASEARCH SEASON

COAST divers conduct Seasearch dives most of the year round , but there is no doubt that there are more dives in the middle of summer.

Last summer we concentrated on the extensive Zostera beds off Whiting Bay.

This summer with some excellent weather through July, we have spent a lot of time on the offshore reef 1 kilometre south of Pladda, which we call Roroime Reef. The area above 20metre has proved much larger than we thought last year, so we have Seasearched more parts of it.  Below is a small selection of the hundreds of photos, which we have taken.
